We bought the kids a TV for the playroom a few months back. Yesterday they were playing with their friends and they had a cup of water sitting beside it. Daxton tossed a medicine ball which hit the cup and it spilled on the TV. The TV would turn on but the volume turned all the way up and stuck there. None of the controls worked on the remote or the TV itself. It would just go haywire. The kids were devastated. They cried and Daxton felt like it was all his fault.
When they went to their friends house I messed with it some more (turning it off and on which is dumb) and prayed over it several times. Then I gently banged on the top of the TV and a pool of water came dripping out of the bottom. I’d been preaching on God’s faithfulness and decided to have them pray over it too. I was kinda nervous and reminded them that it’s up to God. It may just be a lesson that needs to be learned. We all layed our hands on the TV and prayed and then unplugged it to let it dry overnight.
This morning the kids reminded me about the TV. I walked in the room, plugged in the TV and it is working! Needless to say the kids are pretty happy… and thankful. I told them to remember that God cares even about the little things. We paused and gave God the glory and thanked him.
